So many factors can hinder proper breathing, but we shall take a look at the most commons ones which includes;

anxiety etc.

What is Breathing?
- Breathing; the process of taking air into and expelling it from the lungs - Oxford dictionary.
- In common language it simply refers to, the taking in and sending out of air.
- Breathing can also be termed respiration which is essential for any living organism to stay alive, it could also be defined as the taking in of air (oxygen) which enters the lungs and passes to the blood then enters the heart, the heart then pumps the blood to all the vital organs of the body, carbon dioxide is then expelled from the lungs.
So many factors can hinder proper breathing, but we shall take a look at the most commons ones which includes;
- Call the local emergency line
- Sit patient upright and support him or her.
- If patient is on breathing medication, assist them with it and allow them take it by their selve
- loosen the clothing especially around the neck
- keep patient calm.

ASTHMA:
It's a chronic disease of the lungs, which is caused by inflammation of
the bronchi of the lungs thereby causing narrowing of the airways of
the lungs. It usually results from an allergic reaction or other forms of hypersensitivity. It predominant symptoms include; wheezing, tightening of the chest, coughing and short breath.

Below are the some of the known causes of Asthma attack, they include;

HOW TO MANAGE AN ASTHMA PATIENT OR SITUATION
- Fist step is to make the person sit upright.
- Comfort them as they may be stressed and tensed
- Allow them choose the best position for themselves
- Encourage to relax so as to enable them conserve oxygen
- Assist the person with his or her inhaler if available
- If symptoms persists, call for professional help.
