HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT.

In recent times, most deaths in parts of the world are caused by High Blood Pressure (HBP) or Hypertension as it is also known. Relevant records have shown that about 50% of the world hypertensive population are unaware of their condition.

WHAT IS HYPERTENSION?

Is a condition in which a person's blood pressure is persistently above normal. Although the condition varies from person to person, the normal pressure is approximately 120/80. countries with high cases are; South Africa, India, China, Ghana, Mexico and Russia. 

SYMPTOMS OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

Although the symptoms are rare , it is usually discovered during a routine examination. However a very high Blood Pressure has common symptoms like; heart failure, headache, problems with vision.

CAUSES OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.

 In more than 90% percent of patients the actual cause of hbp is usually unknown, such patients are said to be suffering from essential hypertension, among the known causes of the condition are; chronic nephritis, poly-cystic, and kidney diseases. These happens when the kidney continue to retain salt in the body for sometime.

TREATMENT 

The treatment for high blood pressure vary; if drugs are used, a physician will prescribe drugs that will salvage the condition, by getting rid of the excess salt in the body. If the cause is known and its as a result of kidney disease, then the treatment must start from the kidney.  These is applicable to other known causes.
